Don't use AI to write things that matter

This is a short post, but a topical one. There is much debate surrounding the question of whether or not one should one use AI/LLMs to write. My personal belief is that no, one should not, at least not for those things of any signifigance. My view is not underpinned by anything particularly controversial. In my view, writing is not merely a mode of communication but the act is itself a beneficial exercise in thinking. The translation of thought to written word is an opportunity to clarify your understanding or position and to exercise a sense of empathy toward your audience. You will not find any of my, naturally imperfect, writings here to have been produced whole, or in part, by LLMs.
